How we work
Editorial policy
The principles behind our health, wellness and travel guidance.
Who writes our guidance
Articles are written and maintained by The Leisure Health team. Our founders and their backgrounds are named on the About page. When a piece depends on specialist clinical judgement, that judgement belongs to an appropriately qualified practitioner rather than to our editorial team.
How we research
We favour primary and authoritative sources: government health and travel bodies, recognised accreditation organisations, peer-reviewed research and the official information of named providers. Source links appear with articles where they materially support planning or safety information.
Health information and medical review
Our health content is educational travel-planning information, not medical advice, diagnosis or a promise of treatment. It does not replace a consultation with a qualified professional. A clinician reviews and decides any assessment, treatment or procedure for an individual guest. We do not claim that an article has been medically reviewed unless the named reviewer has completed that review.
Commercial clarity
Named hotels, clinics and retreats may illustrate the standard or setting being considered. They are included in a guest's journey only when the written itinerary confirms them. If editorial content contains a paid placement, commission relationship or other material commercial connection, we disclose it clearly.
Updates and corrections
We date articles and revise them when guidance, routes or material facts change. If you spot an error, email hello@theleisurehealth.com. We assess the underlying source and correct material inaccuracies promptly.
